EMAX2系列是一种绝对长度测量系统。传感器、转换器和插值单元一起放置在一个紧凑的锌压铸外壳中。绝对编码磁带粘贴到一个平原地区。非接触式扫描EMAX2传感器可安装在距离磁带最大1.5毫米的位置。最大测量长度可达10米。根据“DS406”编码器配置文件，可在SSI(可选格雷码或二进制码)、RS422或可寻址RS422或canopen之间选择，或根据ELGO CAN标准协议选择CAN接口。可选A/B方波或1 Vpp正弦/余弦信号增量信号输出，用于动态运动控制。
典型应用包括搬运系统、输送机和存储技术、液压机、冲压机、铸造机、线性滑轨、线性驱动和取放系统。
